I've been having huge problems with Vodafone España since signing up with them when we moved house in July.
Although we ordered a line installtion and ADSL they have never completed the installation despite paying for it and 40 to 50 calls to their call centre.
We have been able to get by with a 3G connection most of the time though. Over the summer connection to the internet was rather patchy, probably because half of Barcelona was up here on their holidays, but most of the time it was ok.
But now I have a window of about 2 hours in the morning when I can actually do anything, but even then downloading video is painfully slow. And just at the moment I can't connect to the web at all and email is intermittent.
Probably it's down to many people receiving iPhones and similar devices for Christmas, which is saturating Vodafone's network at the moment. However, this situation is completely unacceptible for me, and is one I shouldn't be in anyway.
So, byebye Vodafone - since Orange's lawyers are currently after me they aren't an option (run by another bunch of halfwits at France Telecom, it's almost to cancel their service) I'lll be going to Telefonica for my ADSL. And while they are widely criticised in Spain, the few problems we've had with Telefonica in the past have been sorted out quickly abnd painlessly.
And I will never buy anything from any Vodafone company again. The boycott starts here.
